Barbara A. Kleager, 79, of McAlester, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at McAlester Regional Health Center.

Barbara was born on December 25, 1945 in Walterboro, South Carolina. She married Jerald E. Kleager in February of 1980. Throughout her entire life she had a compassion to assist anyone regardless of need. She was an outstanding wife, companion, military spouse, and retired DOD employee.

Survivors include her husband, Col. Ret. Jerald E. Kleager; two step-daughters, Lisa M. Christian and Erica H. Daulton; grandsons, Benjamin Daulton and Ethan Daulton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; all of her brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, November 22nd from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
