Anthony Bart Sparks, 51, of McAlester, passed away Friday, July 10, at his home in McAlester.  Arrangements for cremation have been completed; the family will host a life celebration on Saturday, July 18, at their home.

Anthony Sparks was born on Dec. 16, 1974 in Wilburton to Jerry Sparks and Wanda Ruth (Sides) Sparks-Miller.  He grew up in the Wilburton and Gowen area, and has lived in McAlester the past 25 years. He worked as a stocker at Wal Mart for several years, but has been unable to work the past couple of years.  Anthony is survived by his wife, Tammy Sparks; a son, Tommy Mitchell and wife Shuyann; grandchildren, Jackson and Gracie Mitchell; a brother, Zane Sparks; and 2 sisters, Jeri Lynn and Lana.
