Anderson "Andy" Mace, 77, of Hartshorne, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma.

Andy was born on August 24, 1944 in Whitefield, Oklahoma to Jack and Mildred (Sturdy) Mace.  He married Georganna Watkins on March 18, 1981 in McAlester.  He coached basketball, softball and baseball at Eastern Oklahoma State College for a total of 35 years.  He is one of the few Junior College coaches in history to coach three teams in three different sports, (women's basketball, softball and baseball) at the same college, Eastern Oklahoma State College.  During this time, he took all three sports to the NJCAA National Tournaments.  His overall lifetime record was 1100+ wins as a basketball coach and 611 wins in softball.  He is listed in the NJCAA Women's Records for win-loss percentile (Top 10%.)  He coached basketball and softball at high schools and colleges across Oklahoma and Texas throughout his career.

Survivors include his wife, Georganna (Watkins) Mace of Hartshorne, OK; his children and spouses, Vicky and Kenny Hokit of Porum, OK, Kim Rose of Wilburton, OK, Randy and Ronda Thompson of Wardville, OK, Kirk and Kim Thompson of Atoka, OK, Monte and Sara Mace of Frenchtown, N.J., Stacy and Jeffrey Strow of Tulsa, OK, Shannon Davis of Wewoka, OK and Russell and Mary Prince of Lithia, FL; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; aunt, Pat Reavis of Sigler, OK; nieces and a spouse, Elizabeth Burns of Tulsa, OK, Maribeth and Mark Dean of Tulsa, OK and many former students and friends throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mildred Mace; sister and brother-in-law, Robbie and Ray Burns; son-in-law, Greg Rose; numerous aunts and uncles.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.  Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at High Bridge Baptist Church near Wilburton.  Burial will follow at High Bridge Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Kenny Hokit, Brandon Clayborn, Gregory Rose, Bob Johnson and Scott Edgar.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Smith and Poncho Narbaiz.
