Alfred Lee "Puddy" Buller passed away at his home in McAlester on the 4th of June, 2024. Born to Wilma Jean and Smokey Buller on the 12th of August, 1949, in Enid, Oklahoma, Puddy was one of seven siblings. His childhood in Enid was filled with joyous activities like swimming, fishing, and spending time with friends. A favorite pastime was savoring burgers from Pack-a-Sack. Before graduating high school, Alfred enlisted in the United States Army and served in Korea.

Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Enid and began working at Lewis Body Shop. It was there he met Harold Clay, who would become a cherished lifelong friend. His career path led him to serve as a police officer with the Enid Police Department, where he encountered Carmen Finamore, a juvenile services worker who would become his beloved wife. The couple married in 1980.

Professionally, Alfred ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing Enid's sole Private Investigation Company, B&B Investigation. His family life flourished with the birth of two children, Alisha and Anthony.

The Buller family relocated to McAlester, Oklahoma, in 1989. Alfred's career included roles as a correctional officer at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary, a process server, an officer for the Pittsburg County District Attorney's Office, and ultimately, a retiree from the Pittsburg County Court Clerk's Office.

An avid collector of antiques, Alfred took great pleasure in curating his collection. He loves to share stories about it to anyone who would listen.  He humorously boasted of being a World Champion Diver, much to the delight of his grandchildren.

A Master Mason and devout member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Krebs, his legacy continues through his wife Carmen; daughter Alisha Kidd and son-in-law Jimmy Baker; son Anthony; He is also survived by his sister Julia Nixon and her husband Bruce, sister Sherry Fischer, brother Jerry Buller and his wife Jana, sister-in-law Marcella Barone and her husband Frank, sister-in-law Domenica Lovera, numerous nieces and nephews, and his lifelong friend Harold Clay.

Alfred was a wonderful friend to anyone he met, but his favorite role in life was being a grandfather to his four grandchildren. Jackson Lee Kidd, Hensley Jean Kidd, Grayson Newell Kidd, and Abigail Road Baker. His grandchildren were truly the loves of his life. He took great pride in them and loved to watch them grow and live their lives. He was their biggest supporter in all that they did.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Wilma and Smokey; brothers Virgil Wayne McCullough, Glen Raymond McCullough, and Donny Gene Buller; in-laws Waunell and Joe Finamore; brothers-in-law Kenneth Fischer and Sam Lovera; niece Esther Fischer; and his dearly missed son-in-law Shawn Kidd.

A Rosary and visitation are scheduled for Friday, June 7th, at 6:00 pm at Brumley Mills Funeral Home in McAlester, Oklahoma.. The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, June 8th, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Krebs.  Pallbearers are Richard Nixon, Kelly Fischer, Dominic Barone, Chris Barone, Giovanni Lovera, David Wiegert, Cory Buller, Casey Buller and James Wiley.  Honorary pallbearers are the employees of the Pittsburg County Courthouse.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Kidd-Strong Scholarship Foundation or the St. Joseph's Renovation Fund.
