Alan Lynn Stasny, 65, of McAlester, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at McAlester Regional Health Center.

He was born January 31, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas to Frank Joseph Stasny, Jr. and Beverly (McCollum) Gore.  He married Kathy Newman on February 10, 1979 in Irving, Texas.  He was a Journeyman Carpenter and also did lawn mower repair.  He enjoyed fishing and his grandkids and was a member of the NRA and McAlester Gun Club.  He was a member of Victory Park Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Stasny of the home; children, Alan Stasny, Jr. of McAlester, Robert Stasny of McAlester, Tavia Stasny and fiancé Chester Schach of McAlester; grandchildren, Maria Stasny, Emily Stasny, Dominik Schach, Wayverly Schach and Orchid Schach; brothers, Stephen Stasny of Leesburg, TX and Earl Ray Gore; sisters, Ilene Ann McCune and Denise Lozier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; mother-in-law and father-in-law.

The family will conduct a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Victory Park Baptist Church with Rev. Jody Domingue officiating.
